While watching the many river crossings at Masai Mara, I like to look for instances of emotion or dynamic action. I am also fascinated by the mentality of the wildebeest as they pursue their dream of greener grass. In this instance, I wonder if the emotion captured is one of panic or focus. You can never tell with these animals.
The annual event, known as the Great Migration, is an amazing spectacle whether you enjoy these frenetic crossings, or the corresponding impact on the predator populations that it provides in both the Masai Mara and Serengeti ecosystems. This was my third such trip and I certainly will be back for a fourth, and more.
