Issue 65 • March 2019
Marching on
Our March issue sees our reader photo challenge showcase some spectacular images of exotic birds, harnessing all of the colour and splendour one would expect from across the globe.
Aside from our regular features, we also have some exciting articles, including a lesson in creating silhouettes with impact from author and photographer, Richard Garvey-Williams.
Wildlife photographer, Roger Brendhagen, shares his passion for Nordic wildlife and his particular favourite, Arctic foxes, describing the moment he captured his dream image on location in Norway.
Husband and wife duo, Andy and Sarah Skinner, impart their extensive knowledge of working as photography tour guides and reveal their top ten tips when choosing a photo safari, helping to make the process as simple as possible.
While we enjoy seeing all photography competition entries, Wild Planet is delighted to share the Wildlife Photographer of the Year LUMIX People’s Choice Awards Winner and Highly Commended images. Professional wildlife photographers and esteemed judges know what they are looking for in photography competitions, but the People’s Choice gives us a candid view of what all wildlife photographers find thought-provoking, and the importance of story-telling within our images.
In the meantime, look out for next month’s comedy wildlife images. If you think you have a picture that would make us laugh, upload your entries here, for the chance to win a VIP membership.
