A safari trip to Kenya last year, only fuelled my excitement of observing and capturing incredible wildlife on camera. As a wildlife advocate with a passion for the beauty and wonder to be found in nature, I look forward to bringing new and exciting content to our readers over the coming months, while continuing to showcase your wonderful images. Whether you consider yourself a professional or an enthusiast, I relish the opportunity to marvel at and share your work.
In this issue you’ll find a technical guide to photographing leopards by field guide and photographer Ross Couper, as well as a unique perspective on both the culture and wildlife that the Central American country of Honduras has to offer, through the eyes of environmental photojournalist Jared Lloyd.
Also don’t miss our fantastic showcase from 2018’s Bird Photographer of the Year competition and an interview with the photographer & conservationist Margot Raggett about the next title in the acclaimed ‘Remembering’ wildlife series.
I am very pleased to be able to introduce exciting, up-and-coming photographers in the first of our new ‘Spotlight On’ features and we also have a new monthly photo competition where we challenge you, the reader, to send in your best entries for each photography challenge set at the beginning of each month on our social media platforms.
Would you like to see your images and stories published in Wild Planet? The submissions page on the website shows lots of ways you can get involved. You can also join our Facebook Group, where you can share your images and talk to other like-minded photographers from all over the world.
