Peregrine Falcon, Bhigwan, India by Anindita Datta Muhuri

Peregrine falcons are commonly seen in the marshland, grassland in the topical regions. Their main food source are small birds. In any day one can seen them around the water places. They kill the small birds like black-winged stilts, terns etc. While birding in Bhigwan lake I encountered this falcon when it was flying away with a kill. It killed a Silt and after eating part of it was flying away to protect from others.
