Juvenile Lizard, Shantiniketan, India by Amit Roy

It was the initial days of my owning a Raynox DCR 250 and I was using it with a Sony DT 55-300 lens. I was practising as much as I could to get used to the new equipment. One evening, I started scanning my garden and I found this juvenile lizard on top of a branch of a weed plant. Initially I thought it would run away but it kept on looking straight at the LED torch. I wanted to capture the intensity in its eyes and the head. I switched on the video light little away from the lizard. Still, it kept on looking at the torch. I moved closer holding the torch with my left hand under the lens and recorded the image. I was amazed to see the colours in its body which I could not see with naked eyes.
