It is an easily identifiable beetle, which stands out for its red-orange color.
On the head, orange, the antennae are dark brown, except for the 1st segment, also orange in color.
The eyes are black and the palps are dark.
The legs are also orange, with the exception of the tarsi, which are visibly darker; orange nails.
It has a distinct black spot in the terminal area of the elytra.
Eliters are pubescent; sooty wings.
Although adults are very short-lived, they are excellent pollinators.
