I've been tracking a pack of 5 dingoes in the wild throughout the year while capturing their interactions and studying wild dingo behaviour. This is the pack's alpha male ; John. Being an alpha male and an apex predator, he wastes little to no energy playing around with the offspring. John also has a strong and powerful presence around the pack.
However, what makes John unique to me is how calm he can be around his territory and pack. Sometimes he will nod away as the offspring squabble in their now games or simply look for a quieter place and rest on the cool sand. Here's a shot of John patrolling his territory during the late morning. Confidently he struts on top of the dune's crest. Looking off into the distance, he squints his eyes in search of opportunity.
