Cheetahs, Masai Mara, Kenya by Ajit Huilgol

A mother cheetah had just made a kill and was keen on dragging it into the safety of some nearby bushes. She knew that if she delayed any longer, the kill would be seen by vultures that would soon swoop down to the ground. This activity would, in turn, attract the attention of any hyenas or lions in the vicinity. As she began to drag the carcass, however, her near-full grown cubs would have none of it. They were keen on feeding right away in the open. One of the cubs began to pull the dead impala in the opposite direction as if in a tug of war competition with its mother. The other cub seemed to act as a referee in this match.
