BigPicture’s Emerging Photographer Grant

We're all spending a lot more time inside right now, and to keep young photographers engaged in their work and looking to the future, BigPicture are inviting them to apply to their first-ever Emerging Photographer Grant. If you know (or are) a talented young photographer with a fresh perspective on the rapidly-changing natural world, BigPicture want to support this new work.

The BigPicture Natural World Photography Competition has just launched a grant and mentorship program for emerging nature photographers ages 18–25. Here are the highlights:

·  They are accepting applications and project pitches now through May 31, 2020. See full details and how to submit your project proposals here.

·  Two $2500 grants + mentorships will be announced in July 2020.

·  Final Project (to be delivered May 2021) will be a short multi-media piece set around the theme of conservation, science and sustainability of the natural world. The basis of the piece should be visual imagery in the form of photography or video.

·  Projects may be exhibited in the 2021 BigPicture exhibit at the California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco.
