Springtime at Badlands National Park in South Dakota is prime for baby bighorn sheep. This park boasts a healthy population of Rocky Mountain bighorn and is the perfect place for ewes to isolate their newborns for protection against predators. High up on ancient sandstone ridge tops, found throughout the park, the young are generally safe from mountain lions and coyotes, but do run the risk of fatal falls...
