Interview with: Federico Veronesi

Based full-time in Kenya Federico Veronesi is one of the world's most admired photographers of African wildlife and a much sought after safari guide, through his company Image Safaris. His work is widely published and he contributes images to several conservation groups, including the African Wildlife Foundation.

When we last caught up with you, back in 2016, your book Light and Dust had just been published and your photo was gracing the cover of the ‘Remembering Elephants’ book. Fast-forward three years, your book has sold-out and another of your images has been chosen as the cover of the much-anticipated ‘Remembering Lions’ book. What else have the past three years held for you?
First of all, thanks for welcoming me for another interview on Wild Planet Photo Magazine.

In the past three years I have been spending a lot of time out into the wilds of Africa, mostly in East Africa but also in Zimbabwe and Namibia. I have been photographing and leading photographic tours continuously, although at a slightly less intense pace than before, due to the birth of my son...
