Perdita Petzl from Austria
In love with nature ever since a child, I was a proud and enthusiastic owner of numerous photo books on the subject of nature. Self taught, I started photography in 2010. Currently my focus is on macro and wildlife photography, protected species in particular, such as the European ground squirrel or European hamster, which are both very important subjects to me.

A spotted fritillary in a beautiful blooming meadow, shot at sunrise. I consciously photograph insects in their natural habitat, including the thriving environment and natural structures. Only minor post-processing in Lightroom.

Female Nature Photography is a website community of nature photographers for women. It showcases the latest work by female photographers from all over the world and provides resource and inspiration to help more women achieve recognition for their photography. Wild Planet Photo Magazine is a creative partner of Female Nature Photography.
