European Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2020 Call for Entries

Like no other contest the competition European Wildlife Photographer of the Year of the GDT (German Society for Nature Photography) represents the high quality and specific style of European wildlife photography. In creative image compositions, surprising subjects and unusual perspectives the results of this competition display the nature around us in touching images and support the idea of nature conservation through the means of photography. Authenticity is the highest precept for all the photographs.

• With an overall prize fund worth of almost 32 000 Euro

There will be cash prizes of 800 Euro resp. 500 Euro for the winners as well as the runners-up of each category. The overall winner will receive 3 000 Euro in cash provided by CANON. There will be 32,000 EUR worth of prizes altogether in this competition!

The winning photographs of this well-known competition will be presented to the public for the first time in an initial exhibition at the International Nature Photography Festival in Lünen (23. – 25. October 2020). After the festival the exhibition will be shown at various venues in Germany, Belgium, France, Spain and other European countries.

All photographers whose pictures are selected will receive the exhibition catalogue, as well as free tickets for the International Nature Photography Festival in Lünen. Photographs can be entered in nine different categories (Birds, Mammals, Other Animals, Plants and Fungi, Landscapes, The Underwater World, Man and Nature, Nature’s Studio and Young Photographers).
