The winners of the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards 2017 have been unveiled, with images of a little owl falling off a branch and a laughing dormouse among just some of the funny photos from this year’s competition.
More than 3,500 entries from 86 countries were submitted, displaying hilarious moments that can occur in the animal kingdom.
Tibor Kercz was the overall winner with his shot of an owl falling from a branch taken in Opusztaszer, Hungary. His prize included a Kenya safari and a trophy made by disabled men and women in Tanzania.
Categories included On The Land, Under The Sea, Portfolio and Juniors, with each winner being awarded with a Think Tank camera bag.
Andrea Zampatti won the On The Land category with an image of dormouse that appears to be laughing while nestled among flowers in Italy.
John Threlfall won the Up In The Air Category with his image of ducks flying through the air - one of them in front of a plane tail.
Troy Mayne won the Under The Sea category for his image of a sea turtle slapping a fish, while Jodie Ramackers won the Junior section for her rhino image.
The competition, founded by photographers Tom Sullam and Paul Joynson-Hicks MBE, is aimed at raising conservation issues.
