Creating a photograph that tells a story and depicts animal behaviour is a challenge for any wildlife photographer. Mark Sisson talks about how different approaches to bird photography can set your images apart

I am going to start this article with a bit of a confession and not one that will be much of a surprise to those that know me either: I am a bird photography addict. I love photographing all forms of the natural world and am as happy spending my time with a Pearl-bordered Fritillary or Ring-tailed Lemur as the next professional wildlife photographer, but deep down I know where it all began for me. Once an ornithological passion is in your veins, it just doesn’t go away…
