Nicolas Devos from the United States
A biologist at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Originally from Belgium, Nicolas started photographing wild animals twenty years ago. He hopes his photography will inspire people to care and conserve the last wild places on earth.

In winter, at the mouth of the Amur River, located on the border between China and Russia, fresh water from the river enters the Sea of Okhotsk and freezes, forming large ice floes that drift away with the currents. The ice eventually accumulates around 1000km away, along the coast of Hokkaido, Japan. With the ice come the White-tailed eagles and Steller’s sea eagles....
