Favourite location

Etienne profile
I am torn between two very contrasting regions - the Lower Zambezi between Zimbabwe/Zambia and the Great Karoo in South Africa. The one thing they have in common is that the scenery is absolutely stunning and provides a beautiful back drop for wildlife photography.

Latest wildlife picture

It was an amazing experience photographing leopards in the Sabi Sands game reserve in South Africa.

Who are your heroes?

Photographers that have inspired me are Richard du Toit, Ross Couper and Tom Murphy.

Best piece of advice

Photograph animals at their eye level and parallel to the surface of the earth.

Favourite subject?

Aardvarks.

Favourite lens?

Canon 70-200mm f/2.8.

Most memorable moment?

Having an Aardvark two meters away. I had my camera in golden light and yes, the images are amazing!
