  1. Hi, I have submitted an image in readers gallery. When will it appear and will I get notified if it does?

  2. Regarding the reader gallery photo of a lioness sleeping in a tree in WPM issue 18 where it reads: “These are the famous lions of Ishasha, one of only two places in the world where lions climb trees”, I would like to add a correction. Like the so called “tree climbing lions of Lake Manyara NP in Tanzania” this is pure myth (I guess it was invented to present tourists an exclusive feeling).
Lions in East Africa do climb into trees in every National Parc I have visited in Tanzania or Kenya, and I have been in most of them.
The picture is nice, but I think it would be wise for a magazine like WPM not to spread such nonsense.
    Kind regards
    Erwin Rüegg
